About the Nitrate Map
This map displays nitrate sampling results for wells in Benton and Franklin counties. The map is intended to show raw well water nitrate levels; however, the treatment status of some water sources represented in the dataset has not yet been confirmed. As a result, some results may reflect either raw (untreated) or treated water samples. The data and map will be updated as source and treatment information are verified.

Data Sources
Nitrate sampling data were obtained from the Washington State Department of Health (DOH) Drinking Water Program, the Washington State Department of Ecology Environmental Information Management (EIM) system, and the Benton-Franklin Health District Water Laboratory Chemical Testing Database.
