Carla  COMMUNITY HEALTH DIRECTOR

Carla Prock is a dedicated champion of community health in Kennewick, WA. Carla brings her expertise as a Public Health Nurse and serves as the Senior Manager of Community Health at the Benton-Franklin Health District. With a warm smile and a heart full of compassion, Carla has been a vital part of the local public health scene for over 23 years. She's a Registered Nurse and a proud graduate of Washington State University's College of Nursing.

Carla's roots run deep in this community, which she's called home for nearly four decades. She started her journey as a home visiting public health nurse and later took on roles as a supervisor for various maternal child health programs. Her passion for improving community health led her to her current position as a Senior Manager for Community Health.

One of Carla's proudest accomplishments is supporting the district to achieve PHAB Accreditation and continuing to steer it toward the goals of Public Health 3.0. She's all about making things better, and she's dedicated to enhancing performance management and quality improvement efforts.

But Carla's influence goes beyond her district. She co-leads the life course subject matter expert group for Washington State's public health system. This group focuses on important areas like maternal, child, and family health, chronic disease prevention, injury prevention, and improving access to care. Carla also actively participates in the Washington State Association of Local Public Health Officials' Community Health Leadership Committee, where she played a key role in crafting Washington State's Maternal Child Health Foundational Capabilities chapter.

Her outstanding contributions haven't gone unnoticed. Carla is a recipient of the Excellence in Public Health Award from the Washington State Public Health Association. She's a graduate of Leadership Tri-Cities-Class XX and has completed numerous public health leadership programs.

Carla Prock isn't just a public health leader; she's a trusted community partner. Her unwavering commitment to fostering health equity and her exceptional leadership skills make her a respected figure in the field, continuously driving positive change for the region she proudly calls home.
