Business Systems Director

Eric Elsethagen is a highly accomplished technology and business systems leader with more than 25 years of experience guiding organizations through complex technical, operational, and strategic initiatives. Since August 2024, he has served as Director of Business Systems, bringing a proven ability to align people, processes, and technology to deliver secure, efficient, and scalable solutions.
Eric is known for his strong organizational, administrative, and leadership skills, as well as his ability to conceive, design, and implement projects on time and within budget. He combines deep knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle with both traditional and entrepreneurial approaches to problem-solving, enabling data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement across organizations.
Previously, Eric held leadership roles at the Benton-Franklin Health District, where he managed information systems and security, led budget development, modernized core financial systems, and ensured regulatory compliance while maintaining high availability and security of business applications. His career also includes IT management, business intelligence, software development, and project leadership roles across healthcare, public utilities, and large-scale government operations.
A trusted collaborator and communicator, Eric excels at building high performing teams, developing staff, and fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. He is widely recognized for his integrity, insight, and ability to thrive within complex organizations.
Eric holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Eastern Washington University and an Associate of Arts degree from Columbia Basin College.
