Now Open: Community Violence Intervention Funding Opportunity

The Benton-Franklin Health District (BFHD) is pleased to announce a new funding opportunity to support community-driven efforts to prevent and reduce violence across Benton and Franklin Counties.

Beginning June 1, 2026, BFHD is accepting proposals from qualified organizations to help implement strategies from the region’s Community Violence Intervention (CVI) Plan, developed in partnership with the Community Safety Council. Applications are due by July 10, 2026.

About the Opportunity

This competitive funding opportunity is designed to support organizations that can deliver evidence-informed, community-based violence prevention and intervention services. BFHD will award up to $250,000 in total funding, which may be distributed across one or multiple organizations depending on project scope and community impact.

Funded projects will play a key role in advancing a coordinated, community-wide approach to improving safety, supporting youth, and promoting healing—especially in communities most impacted by violence.

Funding Priorities

Organizations may apply to implement one or more of the following program components:

  • Mentorship Support – Pairing youth with trained mentors to build relationships and reduce risk factors
  • Street Outreach – Engaging individuals at highest risk through credible messengers and violence interruption efforts
  • After-School Programming – Creating safe, structured environments for youth engagement
  • Family Connection Services – Strengthening family support systems and access to community resources

Who Should Apply

BFHD is seeking organizations that:

  • Have experience working with youth and communities impacted by violence
  • Demonstrate strong community trust and partnerships
  • Are able to provide culturally and linguistically responsive services
  • Have the capacity to manage grant-funded programs and report outcomes

Local presence and familiarity with Benton and/or Franklin County communities are essential.

How to Apply

Applications must be submitted by 11:59 PM on July 10, 2026, via email to [email protected].

An optional virtual information session will be held on June 9, 2026 (3–4 PM) for interested applicants.
