Benton-Franklin Health District (BFHD) has requested an Incident Management Team (IMT) to assist with the Health District’s COVID-19 emergency response. The IMT is a designated team of trained personnel from different agencies and jurisdictions bringing expertise in management of large scale incidents.

Over the past six weeks, as the situation has expanded, District staff have been consumed with the management of this effort. Team members from local first responder agencies are now providing support by assuming management of the incident, directing tactical resources and coordinating public information dissemination. As cases continue to be identified in our community, this change will allow BFHD staff to focus on disease investigation, contact tracing, medical provider support and maintenance of essential public health services.
