Brief Description:
- Four new non-elected members will be appointed to serve on the BFHD Board of Health. One out of the four new non-elected members is appointed by the American Indian Health Commission (AIHC).
- Looking for a member from each of the three categories below:
Responsibilities Include (Not Limited To):
- Attend monthly meetings and advocate for public health.
- Participate in strategic planning with BFHD Administration and the Health Officer.
- Ensure a diverse and equitable approach to policy making.
- Non-elected members will have the ability to vote on all items except those pertaining to fees
Term & Composition:
- Two years (serving no more than two consecutive terms).
- The applicants should reside in Benton County or Franklin County.
- Eight total members: 4 County Commissioners and 4 non-elected.
- Travel is compensated for non-elected members.
